The alternative business funding ecosystem frequently encounters operational bottlenecks, from manual underwriting procedures to fragmented lender networks. To address these systemic hurdles, Ali Jozani established The Funded Method under JZNI Holdings LLC as an AI-native training program designed to equip newcomers with both modern automation tools and foundational financial education.
From Diverse Ventures to Funder Leadership
Jozani’s path to the financial industry departed from early family expectations. Moving to the United States from Iran at age ten, he initially pursued pre-med coursework in alignment with conventional immigrant goals for medicine or law. However, his direction shifted following two distinct entrepreneurial efforts: an unsuccessful Amazon FBA project and a digital asset trading venture that generated substantial early gains before suffering heavy losses.
These early experiences taught him that sustainable enterprises require disciplined operations rather than speculative momentum. This insight shaped his subsequent multi-year tenure leading operations at a seven-figure alternative funding brokerage. In that role, he personally managed roughly 95% of deal flow, onboarded and coached over 200 remote sales personnel, structured the internal underwriting department, and established connections with more than 200 individual lenders.
Through this intensive background, Jozani gained deep exposure to a broad spectrum of financial products, including merchant cash advances, business lines of credit, SBA loans, HELOCs, and zero-percent credit card stacking. He observed that understanding financial products was only part of the challenge; brokers also needed to navigate lender risk appetites, match businesses with compatible funders, and maintain efficient document pipelines.
“There are more than 200 lenders in this market,” Jozani noted. “Most new brokers know ten of them, and they wonder why their approval rate is low.”
Integrating AI Without Removing Human Insight
Recognizing that alternative lending remains heavily reliant on manual tasks—such as reviewing bank statements by hand or tracking applications individually—Jozani developed The Funded Method to address this operational gap. The enterprise features a 12-week program teaching essential underwriting principles alongside an AI-powered operational framework for client intake, matching, submissions, and follow-ups.
The curriculum emphasizes proper sequencing. Jozani maintains that brokers must understand fundamental mechanics before relying on artificial intelligence tools.
“AI should do the underwriting math. The broker still has to understand the decision,” he explained. “Skip that order and you have built a very fast way to be wrong.”
The training program is structured to help new brokers complete their first funded transaction within approximately 90 days, avoiding prolonged trial and error.
Prioritizing Structure Over Aggressive Sales
Jozani emphasizes that long-term success in brokerage relies on repeatable operational systems rather than purely aggressive sales approaches. “Every broker fails the same way,” he remarked. “Not from a lack of hustle, from a lack of process. The deal dies in the follow-up, not the pitch.”
In addition to the cohort model, The Funded Method offers self-paced learning pathways and publishes informational resources like The 2026 Broker Stack, which introduces participants to current market technologies, lending instruments, and operating platforms.
By blending automated administration with strict human oversight, Jozani’s curriculum provides a systematic entry point into an industry historically characterized by fragmented networks and steep operational learning curves.
